Jani’s career in transformational work spans over three decades, starting as a Life Coach in 1990. In 2004, she found her passion in working with teens. As a mother of two, Jani intimately understands the needs and struggles of youth, and her passion shines through her ability to bring out their best.
Jani first joined The Torch Foundation as a lead facilitator in 2004, continuing until 2008. In addition to facilitating numerous trainings throughout California, she also co-facilitated a workshop in Beijing, China for over 50 teens. After her work at Torch, Jani founded Awakening Young Minds (AYM), a non-profit that served teens for 7 years in partnership with organizations such as The Boys & Girls Club, LAUSD, Ventura County Probation Department, and Gompers Preparatory Academy. In 2013, Jani and her team, including three teen graduates from her program, spent two weeks in Malawi building a school. Due to the program's success and demand from AYM graduates, Jani created week-long transformational summer camps for youth in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
Jani returned to the Torch Foundation in 2023 as a Master Trainer and Consultant. She is honored to support The Torch Foundation's vision of making a difference for the future while pursuing her commitment to providing social/emotional education to teens worldwide.
