We Earned a Platinum Seal of Transparency in 2021!
our VISION
The Torch Foundation is devoted to a world where all teens are empowered as leaders to navigate life with confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of self.
our mission
We believe empowering teens with essential skills in social-emotional intelligence and leadership fosters self-awareness, resilience, and healthy relationships for lifelong success.
who we serve
Our educational outreach targets adolescents and minority youth facing challenges that impact their education and mental well-being.
our workshops
Our workshops consist of 2 full days (Saturday and Sunday) at locations designated by the schools or community partners and are offered at no cost to the students/participants. Torch also holds trainings for teens at no cost that are open to the public. Upon completion of the weekend, each teen will receive 4 weeks of coaching calls to support them in making lasting changes in their life.
The Torch organization changed my life and my way of thinking. My father and mother recommended it to me, so I was allowed to attend the training. The training took place on November 23 and 24, 2024, at Worcester State University. We did a variety of activities during the training, such as eye-to-eye communication and linking.
Torch helped me with the idea of setting goals, getting me to understand that expressing my emotions and talking out problems is important, and helping with my public speaking. Setting small goals has had a great impact on me, helping me get to the main goal and improve as a life skill. After the training, this was useful in school when I set the goals to improve my English grade, then my math grade, and work on extra credit. This improved my grades, and it felt like a wonderful accomplishment. This helped me with my mindset and to have integrity. The torch lessons have motivated me to have a good attitude towards everything and treat everyone around me with care. Since the time I participated in Torch, I have seen a change in my view of life for the better. I have been more attentive in class and realize the importance of education as a teenager.
